09.30 – 10.30 Session 1 – Neill Friedman – Discovering my true calling
“What makes a 52 year old person who left full time education after school back in 1984 want to return and take a degree in sport and exercise science in 2018? The answer lies in taking a voyage of discovery later in life that has led me to discovering my true passion and calling.” So in October 2018 full of fear and excitement and a host of financial concerns I started this next phase of my life journey. By the time I come present to the trainers network my 1st year will be behind me and the 2nd about to begin. I hope to share the full experience of this 1st year, the highs and lows the financial gamble and how I have survived all the financial responsibilities as a full time student. The aim of my session is to inspire others that are considering going on a similar journey to go for it.
10.30 – 11.00 Tea break and networking
11.00 – 12.30 Session 2 – The Art of Giving Feedback
Effective communications is a fundamentally essential component of high performance to help with the building and maintaining of good relationships and while it is accepted that the role of feedback is a major contributor to all of this, many people struggle with both giving and receiving feedback.
This session aims to:
- Allow members to truly appreciate the value of feedback for all in their organisation / organisations they work with, and how it can enhance performance and develop individuals, teams and the business
- Allow people to explore where feedback comes from, where and how we seek it or when we can give it
- To understand how the delivery of feedback can impact its effectiveness and also damage relationships if delivered poorly
- Learn how to give others feedback (both easy and more challenging) in practical exercises.
12.30 – 13.30 Lunch and networking
